Whew! I’ve registered!
Now what happens?
When do the players get
called?
The coaches will call the
players the last week of August. They will give you all the
information you will need in regards to practice times and location.
Each coach sets his/her own practice days, times and location. Teams
may begin practice on or after August 29. The practice fields are
located in each town.
It’s after August 30th and my
child has not been called. What do I do?
If your child has not been
called by August 30th, you may leave a message at:
AYSO Region 232 Hotline
928-649-2774
or email at
reg@ayso232.org
How often are practices and
games?
U6 children arrive at the field
at the scheduled time and practice for 20 minutes. They then play
their game. U6 may practice the first 2 weeks.
Other divisions practice each
week for the times listed below:
U8 –
practice 1 hour a week
U10 –
practice 2 hours a week
U12 &
U14 up to 3 hours
When there is no game scheduled,
another practice or scrimmage may be held, i.e. the first 2 weeks.
The first games are the Saturday following Labor Day. In case of
rain, the referee at the field will cancel games. (If no referee is
available the coaches on the field may make the decision.) Games are
held on fields throughout the Verde Valley.
